Patently Different is a new feature on our website — a place where visitors can look for variable content, a light-hearted break from the daily grind. Patently Different pages will feature unique, fun and perhaps educational content — unusual stuff that offers an unexpected break from the typical business and legal rhetoric one expects to find at a legal firm's web site. A Tribute to Toothpicks
Our initial Patently Different offering features material complementing the current edition of the firm's newsletter, Asymptote Review.
Clicking on the image to the left, for example, will take you to a fun little quiz related to our "Tribute to the Toothpick" edition. In this quiz, visitors will have an opportunity to match 11 interesting and fairly recent toothpick-related patents with their respective patent drawings. After printing out and completing the short quiz, participants will find a link to the "patent matching" results as well as short descriptions of each patent.
A Tantallizing Toothpick Teaser
The roll-over image to the right contains both the challenge and solution to our Toothpick Puzzle in the current edition of our company newsletter, Asymptote Review.
The challenge is to increase the total number of squares in the adjacent arrangement by moving or removing just two toothpicks.
Once you've figured out the answer, you can verify that you're correct by moving your mouse over the adjacent image to reveal our answer.
HINT: Some puzzles require thinking outside the box, and others don't.
