Thomas Dubose McClure, Jr.
Thomas D. McClure, Jr. was born on November 28, 1964, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and was raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating from NCSU, he worked in the textile and coating industries in various roles as an engineer or manager. During his career in industry, he gained extensive experience in a variety of technologies. These technologies relate to design and implementation of process control systems, various mechanical systems including web handling equipment, dye and coating chemistry, drying and washing processes, vacuum metalization, direct slot dye coating, and gravure coating.
Mr. McClure earned the Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Emory University School of Law in 2003. For his third year, he attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law as a visiting student. Mr. McClure is a registered patent attorney and is admitted to practice law in Ohio. He was an associate in the intellectual property law firm of Kusner & Jaffe in Highland Heights, Ohio, from 2003 to 2006. His practice at Adams Intellectual Property Law, P.A., is focused on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as patent research, patent legal opinions, and licensing.
