Christopher C. Dremann
Mr. Christopher C. Dremann received a Congressional appointment to the United States Air Force Academy and studied Computer Science and Engineering while attending the Academy from 1977-1979. He received his undergraduate degree (May, 1982) and graduate degree (December, 1983) in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. After leaving Purdue University, Mr. Dremann worked for several years in the aerospace industry in various research and development and engineering management positions. Beginning in 1989, he attended IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1993.
Prior to joining Adams Intellectual Property Law, P.A., Mr. Dremann was an associate with the Bell, Seltzer, Park & Gibson intellectual property law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, and later a partner with the Charlotte firm of Dougherty and Dremann. Mr. Dremann also started and managed his own law firm, Christopher C. Dremann, P.C., from 1998 to 2000. During that time, he counseled clients in intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, unfair competition and entertainment law. Mr. Dremann represented a major karaoke music recording and manufacturing company in numerous legal matters relating to trademarks, music rights, and licensing. He successfully represented the same company in a Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy proceeding before the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN"), as well as an exparte seizure of counterfeit music CDGs in Los Angeles, California, which resulted in a damages award of nearly $1 million.
From June 2000 until July 2006, Mr. Dremann served as Senior Patent Attorney for the Hardware & Equipment (H&E) Division of Corning Cable Systems in Hickory, North Carolina. His responsibilities included managing inside and outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign patent applications, as well as global patent portfolio management of more than 700 patent families.
Mr. Dremann joined Adams Intellectual Property Law, P.A., in April 2007 and continues to concentrate his practice in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets and unfair competition.
